Coin Laundry pub wedding with sparkler exit
James and Jolene’s pub wedding was such a brilliant day with the most incredible energy from all the guests. I love days like this because I become completely immersed, just snapping away and I don’t think about anything else.
The day started at The Vineyard, just across the road from Islington Town Hall, where I met James and their guests already enjoying drinks before the ceremony - it’s a great spot to meet guests ahead of an Islington Town Hall ceremony as it’s so close.
When it was time, everyone headed across to the town hall for the ceremony. Jolene was tucked away in a side room beforehand, which gave us the chance to grab a few quiet portraits before things began. Jolene looked incredible! She was giving old Hollywood/effortless Marylyn vibes and I was here for it! The ceremony itself was gorgeous, including a touching reading from Jolene’s mum, and made even more memorable by their dog joining in towards the end who couldn’t WAIT to see Jolene.
After the ceremony, guests gathered outside for confetti on the iconic steps of Islington Town Hall, always a highlight for town hall weddings in London. From there, everyone hopped onto a classic Routemaster bus and headed to The Coin Laundry pub in Exmouth Market.
The pub reception was full of good friends, good food and a lot of fun, followed by some epic speeches, a cake cut and a killer dance floor. We finished the evening off with a fun sparkler exit along Exmouth Market, the streetlights helping me with the lighting! The perfect ending to the day.
James and Jolene, now that’s how you throw a party! Thank you for having me, what a pleasure!
