100 Barrington city wedding
Caroline and Patrick’s wedding was such an incredible day in the heart of the city, and one I’ll remember for such a long time. I laughed so much and just loved being there to capture everything as it happened.
The day began at a gorgeous Airbnb in London, where Caroline got ready with her bridal party and parents. It was such a fun, relaxed morning with drinks flowing and a gal group she had known for years. I absolutely loved the navy bridal party outfits, not a colour you see that often, but it’s just so classy! These morning prep moments are always a highlight for me as there really isn’t much posing going on, just lots of genuine emotion and excitement as the day is about to unfold.
The ceremony took place at Chelsea Town Hall, a venue I’ve photographed many times, though C + P’s day was held in the Small Hall, which is a great option if you want the classic London town hall wedding vibe without limiting your guest list. The ceremony was so gorgeous and personal, followed by one of the most epic confetti exits I’ve seen at Chelsea Town Hall! Top tip: Confetti cannons fired at the top of the stairs make for incredible photos! After some relaxed family photos on the steps, I took Caroline and Patrick for couple portraits on Albert Bridge, one of my favourite nearby locations and a perfect London backdrop.
From there, we jumped into a black cab and headed to 100 Barrington for the reception, a venue I hadn’t photographed before, but one that’s quickly become a new favourite. The natural light, covered spaces, the railway arch and even a rainbow backdrop around the corner made it such a cool space with great options for photography. Emotional speeches followed, leading into the wedding breakfast, plus a chaotic cocktail hour featuring a full Smirnoff Ice renaissance! To top it all off, Patrick joined the band as lead guitarist to play Footloose which was just a perfect end to the day.
Caroline and Patrick, what a day! What a pleasure to be there, thank you for having me.
If you’re planning a Chelsea Town Hall wedding and are looking for a London wedding photographer who captures candid, relaxed photos full of feeling and fun, I’d love to hear from you.
