Grace Loves Lace wedding dress at Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings

Gemma and Tom’s summer wedding was just such a perfect example of amazing groups of friends coming together, and family going all out to be there for their loves ones. Lots of Gemma’s family flew over from Australia to be there for her and Tom which made the day all the more special.

We started in the morning with prep at a nearby hotel. It was absolutely boiling, so everyone was taking it in turns to stand near the air con! All of Gemma’s amazing friends bundled into one room to get ready, champagne corks flying, helping Gemma with her dress, whilst also attempting group tiktok dances and posing for a few cute group photos on the bed. The best kind of chaos!

From there, we hopped in a cab to Islington Town Hall, where guests were ready and waiting. The ceremony was perfect, with readings from loved ones, followed by an epic confetti moment on the iconic town hall steps, always a highlight when photographing Islington Town Hall weddings.

After the ceremony, everyone climbed aboard a classic Routemaster for the short trip to Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings, where the afternoon reception was set against the most incredible floral arrangements by Urban Flowers. The entire space looked stunning, filled with plants, natural light and a rustic, greenhouse feel. I was able to sneak Gemma and Tom off for a few portraits around the wedding breakfast set up, and some more in front of the double decker bus.

Guests mingled in the sunshine before heading in for speeches and the wedding breakfast. At this point the cake started to melt as it had been so hot! ‘Imperfect’ moments like this are my favourite, they always make for great photos and tell a unique story of that day.

The day ended with an unforgettable dancefloor, with some serious shapes being thrown, even outside Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings the dancing continued as the sun was setting!
