Golden hour portraits at Beckenham Place Mansion wedding

Fern and Jake’s wedding was a beautiful celebration, blending heartfelt traditions with a stylish, relaxed reception at Beckenham Place Mansion. The morning started with George, my second shooter, capturing Jake getting ready with his family. I was with Fern at the Brama Hotel, where we managed some lovely candid portraits in Bromley Town Hall, a quirky little bonus being that it’s actually where David Bowie got married!

The ceremony took place at a stunning church, followed by a confetti send-off with flower garlands and colourful bursts of joy. Then we headed to Beckenham Place Mansion for the reception. The afternoon was relaxed yet elegant, the wedding breakfast setup was gorgeous, with incredible florals by Rust & Bloom.

Later, Fern and Jake stole a few moments with me in the gardens, amongst lavender and bees, to capture some portraits. As the sun set, we managed to get more dreamy, golden-hour shots, a perfect pause for just the two of them. The day ended on a high with upbeat, classy acoustic music from The Duplettes, keeping the celebration lively and joyful.

Fern and Jake’s wedding is a perfect example of a relaxed yet stylish celebration, blending classic traditions with modern, natural photography. Whether you’re planning a city wedding in London, or a venue like Beckenham Place Mansion, lets chat this is the kind of day I love to capture!
